14-Why do I get high blood sugar (hyperglycaemia)?

You can get high blood sugar when you:

• Have taken to little insulin or missed an injection
• Have been less physically active than normal
• Have eaten too much food
• Have taken insulin that was bad because it was too old or not stored properly
• Have an infection, a fever or perhaps a foot sore
